Sep. 17th, 2002 02:39 amOkay, because it's easier than sticking it as a comment:
Lucius isn't a pseudo-Latin name, it is a Latin name. I read a website on it; they had about 10-20 common Latin names of which Lucius was one. The correct Latin pronunciation is Loo-kee-us, as Latin uses a hard C (I actually through the correct pronunciation would be Loo-chee-us, because of Lucia...damn, forgot to put that one on the list), but I don't know whether that would be the common pronunciation these days.
The Hamletmachine is one of the two plays Sam Gough (spelling?) is doing for the Fringe Festival. It goes on in a couple of weeks or so. I'll give you details later.
Oh, and in case you cared, the current background for my Livejournal was actually inked with a fine-nibbed fountain pen. I swear I use a different inking technique every time...
Erm, that's about it, I think.

Either that or they have been teaching me wrong pronunciations for 5 years.

Date: 2002-09-17 09:09 am (UTC)Actually, what with you guys, that also means Helen and CuteAlex being in one play and Dije being in the other means I'm covering all sorts of bases by enduring such entertainment.
Plus, if I wanted to be entirely mercenary I'd use the fact that he always casts attractive gay men as some sort of ... thing.
Good thinig I'm not mercenary, hey.
