Sep. 10th, 2002 12:03 amAbby's back?? *blinks*
All I can think of is the exerpt from an old gender-bending episode of Utopia, which Sandra posted in her LJ a while ago
Okay, now before we go on; I have no specific permission from Sandra to post this here. This is hers, and if the post in her livejournal had been recent, I would have just linked there. As it is, I have it on my computer in text format. If she had it on the web, I'd link there, but Utopia isn't being published until next year. So, here, just so you know what I'm talking about:
"Hello?" Susan said, answering the phone.
"H-hi, Susan?" My voice was already thick with tears.
"Who is this?" She asked.
I couldn't help it. I started to cry. "Su-su- saaaaaaan!"
"Sir? Sir, what's wrong?"
That made me cry harder. "Su =hic= san! It it it's Cle =hic= o!"
"Um... Cleo, your voice sounds strangely masculine."
"Oh, god!" I began to sob even harder. "I-I-I'm a guy! Susaaaaaaan, I'm a guy!"
"Who is this?" Susan demanded.
I took a deep breath and tried to stop hyperventilating. "Susan, we-we're buddies, used to be roomates..."
"Anyone would know that..."
"And you =hic= slept with 25 guys before you ma=hic=rried Collin."
She was silent. Then, "Cleo, why do you have a man's voice?"
I started crying again. "Susaaaaan! I'm =hic= I'm I'm a guy!"
"Cleo, why are you a guy?"
I had to sit down, I was hyperventilating so badly. "I-I-I didn' mean to-oo-oo be=hic=ee a guy..."
"Cleo, cleo, calm down."
"Help =hic= muh-me!"
There was a sudden crash, and the door was knocked down. I looked up through my tears, and saw...the Archangel, staring at me with a mixture of concern and fear.
This was so not good.

sandradelete. For more info, go to her LJ, or her community
utopia_preview. I'd link the website, but as I said before, that's not operating until next year. You can reach that through
utopia_preview, though.
Now, if Sandra objects to me repeating this, I can always delete it. I'm prepared to do that. Hope she doesn't mind...
Arrgh...Will get rid of the LJ cut as soon as I can find this in Sandra's journal. So far no luck. I know it's before Feb 5th 2002, and I think it's before 29/12/01, but I've only been skim reading and so am not sure. But now? Essays. I'll look later.

Date: 2002-09-09 07:17 am (UTC)Sandra mentioned Abby returning, but with a radical image change.
The two ideas connect somewhere.
