I'm really disappointed to read of this Danika.

I thought that as I have already had 5 resignations in the last 4 weeks, you might have hung on for a while for the sake of co-workers.

I trust that you will be reliable until the 14/9/02, as this will now be crucial to my survival.

This is my supervisor in my speaking, I would *never* say that to an employee choosing to resign.

The evil, exploitation megalomaniac in me urges you to take her guilt trip, feed it back to her and "discuss" salary. Heh, the phrase, "you need me" comes to mind.

Of course, it is well known I had my conscience removed with a swiss army knife (it;s that twisty metal bit next to the scissors and tin opener).

How about sending her a letter saying exactly that? She has been horrendously unprofessional, so it's your turn.

I take it she isn't actually a friend since the communciation is by letter. Only friends and family are allowed to use guilt!

My reply to her:

Perhaps your focus should not be that so many are leaving, and perhaps on *why* so many are leaving. In fact, although you urge me to stay on "for the sake of my co-workers", maybe, by leaving and making you consider that people are resigning due to dissatisfaction, and therefore things may be changed in an effort to make the employees better off. And so, for the sake of my co-workers, I repeat: I would rather contract small pox and be forced to survive on the discards of plague-rats than to continue working at TMC.


um, obviously that last sentence is under-construction, and probably negotiable.
