May. 11th, 2002 03:09 pmI'm not sure whether I should be glad that everyone's getting Nat, or feel all lonely like no one loves me...
At least I'm not a common sort of person...?
Nat! I'm pretty!
I bought a scrapbook Thursday night, because I was feeling fragile after spending ridiculous amounts of time working on that friggin' essay. I did a Torg - only rather than become Dani of the jungle, I reverted to a 6 year old. So I got my scrapbook, only there weren't any textas for sale at 6.30pm, so I bought pencils and very dodgy erasers that just seem to smudge.
I sketched in it last night, after I got home from work. I'd already broken it in during rehearsal on Thursday, but last night I was home with my soft-leaded pencil and plastic eraser, so could sketch without worrying about smudges (as much). I drew a picture of Alana, who is a new character in my Alice/Miranda universy thingie, who came to me last Monday when Nat and I were walking to the station after having watched The Count of Monte Cristo. And of course, she now demands I write a story about her. As if I haven't got enough unfinished work already! This makes the third story I now have envisioned in this Al-Miranda-Alana arc, as well as a fourth which doesn't involve them, but seems to be set in the same "universe". I have a murder mystery I want to write, the performance piece I originally envisioned at the beginning of semester, the performance piece I'm actually performing, and the folio piece I have to write for Across the Genres, my other creative writing subject. I'm not complaining about my ideas muse by any means; I just wish my follow-through muse was a little more active. That way I might actually get some writing done occasionally.
Anyway, I inked and scanned and coloured the Alana piece. I might post it here, when I get back from work, if anyone's interested.
