Photoshop had saved it as a different file for no scrutable reason.

I'm glad it worked out; I once had an essay close and not save itself while I wasn't looking so I had to re-do everything I'd done in the past hour. I can't imagine losing a whole comic (I don't do comics, but I'm sure it would be bloody devestating).

It was less the frustration of redoing the bloody comic (because I just needed to recolour and letter it again) than it was the fact that I had neither the time nor the concentration span to redo it. As it was I got very little sleep.

That really sucks...you should give your computer a good ass-kicking...or maybe there's a program out there that doesn't do random bad things

It doesn't do random bad things per so...this was more of a quirk in the programming than everything else. A Lokism; it didn't destroy the comic, it just hid it.
