A nothing sort of day. Called Target, as last shift I completely forgot what my four-digit code for the timeclock and inputted my code for the registers instead (they both began with the same number). The reason I forgot the damn number is because my shifts have been so sparse on the ground. Damnable things. Anyway, C (the delightful lady who does the rosters) is going to call me back at the very civilised time of 3 p.m. (she must realise I'm a student) and may even tell me what my timeclock code is.

Watched a bit of UKTV. Saw my first episode of the Benny Hill show. It was, surprisingly, very funny. I have this terrible mistrust of most things claimed to be classics, but I did enjoy it, and could recognise some of its influence on Python &co. Also saw an episode of At Home with the Braithwaites. I seem to recall having seen an advertisement for it some time back, but had never given it a look-see before. Was quite pleased to see Amanda Redman, who was in the crime series New Tricks, in it, and finally understood the whole Miranda Otto thing in reference to a brunette called Sarah Smart, who looked startlingly like her. (I saw Miranda Otto in a 1998 movie called Dead Letter Office, which I was forced to study for school. Her character was as strongly willed as a piece of cooked spaghetti. And her hair colour does nothing for me.)

Got distracted, as I am apt to do, and didn't get around to thinking about Coffee Group until about 4 p.m. Since neither Steph nor Liam were picking up their phones, and I had no guarantees that people would still be around at 6, I didn't bother going.

All in all, it's the sort of day that convinces me that my natural state is hiding in a cave with a pet rock called Rodney, picking twigs out of my matted hair.
