Oh, and as an addendum to the previous post:
Is it just me, or is it bizarre that there's a host of rich-people focused TV coming out of the US at the moment? There's The OC (possibly the beginning of this trend), Gossip Girls, Dirty Sexy Money (or whatever the title is) and lots more that I don't know about (because I only watch Gray's Anatomy Sunday nights while our household folds its laundry). I just find this strange timing, since all reports say that the US economy is teetering on the brink. Once it goes, these sort of lifestyles won't exist in quite the same way. So why so much focus on them now? Weird.
It's my birthday tomorrow! Since I'm not working, but everyone else I'm friends with is (*sadface*), I'm going to have a luxury day. I'm going to go to the Japanese bathhouse (if there's a slot free – I haven't booked yet), and take myself out to lunch, and I don't know what I'll do with the afternoon yet. Maybe take my camera and take a photo of the water nymph in the Victoria Gardens, and go visit the statue of Neptune/Poseidon in the Fitzroy Gardens. Maybe just take a book and read and drink Shirley Temples in the Botanic Gardens. Maybe I'll go to the National Art Gallery.
I think I'm going to have pancakes and tempeh "bacon" for breakfast tomorrow. With oodles of maple syrup.
