I had a new job for the whole of an hour today. Woman from my last workplace at LaTrobe offered me a temp position, but later called to say that someone else in the department had been given it. Bah.
In other news, both Steph and I were right in our mild disagreement over "pernickety"/"persnickety". I had heard the later, American version of the word (the one with the 's'), where Steph knew the earlier (more technically "correct") Scottish form.
